CHANHASSEN, Minn. — A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with an SUV Wednesday night in Chanhassen . The Minnesota State Patrol website said the incident happened just before 8:30 p.m. on westbound Highway 5 at the intersection with Great Plains Blvd. Video from MnDOT's camera system shows the driver of a Nissan Rouge pulling away from a stoplight in the right lane when the rider, a 33-year-old Bloomington man, closes from behind the SUV at a high rate of speed and hits the slow-moving vehicle.
