Winsted man suffers burns after yard fire accident
A Winsted man was flown to Hennepin County Medical Center with severe burns after an accident involving yard cleanup on Thursday afternoon. According to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, they received a call at 12:48 p.m. on July 25 reporting a man with significant burns. Deputies responded to a residence in the 27500 block of 742nd Avenue in Dassel Township, along with Dassel Fire & Rescue, Mayo Ambulance, and Lifelink III air medical services.

MINNEAPOLIS — A man is fighting for his life after apparently being carjacked and shot overnight near Loring Park in Minneapolis. Police said in a release that officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Oak Grove St. just before 2 a.m. on reports of a shooting. Arriving squads found a man suffering from apparent life-threatening gunshot wounds, and started lifesaving efforts until paramedics arrived.
