Sunny Spells and Scattered Showers Expected in Minneapolis Throughout the Week
As the summer progresses, Minneapolis residents can expect a mix of sunshine and scattered showers throughout the coming week. The National Weather Service reports that today, there will be scattered showers before 11:00 A.M., with possible isolated showers and thunderstorms reemerging after 5:00 P.M. Fogs are expected to have cleared by 9:00 A.M., giving way to a partly sunny day with a high of approximately 76 degrees and a north wind around 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Since the pandemic, the holiday has been characterized by mobs of teenagers and young adults lighting off fireworks at cars and buildings and looting. This year, the problems were mostly seen in the Dinkytown neighborhood near the University of Minnesota campus.
