Gov. Evers approves I-90/94, WIS 33 improvements in Wisconsin Dells, Portage

MADISON, Wis. -- Improvements to one major roadway is set to begin next week in the Wisconsin Dells and Portage.

Preliminary work is scheduled to begin April 1 to resurface I-90/94 between Mirror Lake Bridge in Wisconsin Dells, and WIS 33 in Portage.

It is a part of Governor Tony Evers' recent signing of a $6.9 million contract.

DL Gasser Construction is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to repair concrete with patch work, shoulder repair, and pavement markings on I-90/94 between Mirror Lake Bridge and WIS 33.

During construction, I-90/94 will remain open to traffic with nonpeak lane closures. Project completion is scheduled for early August. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
