Resident at Dane County Jail found dead

MADISON, Wis. -- A resident at the Dane County Jail was found dead Monday morning.

Dane County Sheriff's Deputies and jail medical staff responded to an intake housing unit in the Public Safety Building portion of the jail for a resident discovered unresponsive.

Deputies and jail medical staff immediately began life-saving efforts but revival was unsuccessful.

Dane County Sheriff's Office Detectives, along with Dane County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the incident.
