CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities arrested two people in connection with an armed robbery at a West Ashley gas station.

Police responded to reports of an armed robbery at a Circle K convenience store on Ashley River Road in early June. Officials said the suspects pulled out a handgun and stole money during the incident.

Tamia Ashley Kearse, 24, of Summerville, and Keyon White, 27, of North Charleston, were arrested on June 18 following an investigation.

Kearse is charged with armed robbery while White is charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, according to police. They are being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the Charleston Police Department by calling 843-720-2422 and ask to speak with the on-duty central detective.
