    CMPD looking for vehicle involved in fatal NE Charlotte hit-and-run

    CHARLOTTE ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Police have identified a vehicle in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in northeast Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

    The vehicle has been identified as a black Dodge Challenger with front-end damage. On Sunday, June 9, the driver did not remain at the scene after hitting 62-year-old Curtis Bing who was riding an electric scooter.

    Around 10 p.m. that night, officers responded to the collision in the 5000 block of North Tryon Street.

    When they arrived, they found Bing unresponsive in the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Police say Bing was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
