CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Queen City News needs your help to “Find A Fugitive,” a ten-year-old cold case with a hefty reward of up to $5000.

Rashad Porter was shot and killed on July 13 th , 2014.  He was attending a house party on Major Street in NW Charlotte with around 100 people attending when gunfire erupted around 2 am.  Porter was found dead outside the house hours later.  It was a call Rashad’s mother never thought she would receive.

“It was absolutely heartbreaking, it ruined my life.  He was a good kid, he was very respectful, he always said yes ma’am and no ma’am, he loved his sisters, he loved his son and he loved his friends and we loved him,” said Emma Riley.

CMPD detectives say the trail has gone cold with very few leads.  But, Emma and her daughter Kim Washington believe somebody knows something out of all those people there.  They just need one person to come forward, so they can get closure.

“I need the help.  I need a helping hand to help get justice for my son.  If they know something I wish they would at least just call, anything would help get justice for my son,” said Riley.

If anyone knows anything call Charlotte Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 or submit an anonymous tip to the P3 Tips App by phone.  Again, there is a $5000 reward for any info leading to an arrest.
