Construction of new Moses Lake elementary school will proceed despite budgetary issues
MOSES LAKE – The Moses Lake School District has temporarily paused the construction of Elementary 12 in Mae Valley as it works with federal and state agencies to secure water certificates. These certificates will allow the district to use lake water for irrigation instead of city water, marking the final step before purchasing the land for the new school. Despite recent budget issues, the construction project will proceed once the land purchase is finalized.

East Wenatchee Police Department is hosting National Night out on Wednesday, July 31st and nearly every local 1st responder agency in the area is participating. National Night Out is a free community gathering organized for families to meet local officers and first responders in a fun setting. There will be lot's of equipment and emergency apparatus from different agencies on display so kid's can get an up close look and ask questions about what they are seeing. Bike paths on both sides of Columbia to close for boat races starting July 24
TRI-CITIES, Wash.-Bike paths along the Pasco and Kennewick sides of the Columbia River will be closed for Water Follies starting Wednesday, July 24. The path through Columbia Park on the Kennewick side of the river will be closed from the Blue Bridge to Edison Street from 6 p.m. on July 24 through 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, according to the Tri-City Water Follies.
