CHENEY, Wash. – Firefighters are currently tackling a three-acre brush fire east of Cheney. The incident is located at South Cheney-Spangle Road and West Jennings Road, according to Spokane County Fire District 3. The fire, though slow-moving, has already consumed approximately half an acre and now has spread to three acres. Initially, firefighters faced challenges accessing the site.
