Former Cherry Hill doctor surrenders license, second admits guilt

TRENTON — A former Cherry Hill physician has surrendered her medical license while serving a prison term for a drug offense.

Felicia E. Gonzalez, 65, gave up her license "with such surrender to be deemed a permanent revocation," according to a consent order with the state Board of Medical Examiners.

Gonzalez, who held her license since 1995, practiced at Cherry Hill Pain Management & Wellness.

A second doctor at the Springdale Road practice, Emanuel Lamprou Jr., was charged along with Gonzalez in April 2023. He admitted guilt under a plea agreement on July 29 to the improper distribution of oxycodone and morphine.

Lamprou, a Cherry Hill doctor since 1983, is to be sentenced Dec. 10.

Gonzalez admitted guilt to three counts of unlawful distribution of controlled substances in October 2023. She was sentenced in April to a two-year prison term.

The former Toms River resident is currently at a minimum-security prison camp, FPC Alderson, in West Virginia, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

The July 22 consent order, citing Gonzalez' "guilty plea and the underlying facts," said her "continued license would be inconsistent with the public's health, safety or welfare."

It said Gonzalez allegedly prescribed drugs containing oxycodone on a monthly basis from 2019 to 2023 without completing physical exams during patient visits.

The order also noted Gonzalez' admission to dispensing drugs "outside the course of a professional practice and not for a legitimate medical purpose."
