    Virginians reconsider following Benny Hinn

Benny Hinn was popular in Virginia in the 1990s and early 2000s. Some churches chartered buses to his crusades, but some Virginians I have spoken with recently say they no longer follow Hinn.

This is partly because he admitted his prosperity doctrine was in error and lives a laish lifestyle while asking the public for money. The televangelist is in the news again, but this time, it relates to his marriage.

Suzanne Hinn files for divorce again

According to Charisma, the televangelist's wife Suzanne Hinn initiated divorce process in California in 2010 but in 2012, Hinn told The Christian Post that God had restored his marriage.

The second filing was recently in Florida, a no-fault divorce, equitable distribution state. The Hinns married on August 4, 1979, so this would have been their 45th anniversary.

The Trinity Foundation reveals that the couple owns four properties in Florida worth more than $5 million. Benny Hinn Ministries /World Healing Center Church is worth up to $100 million but has faced financial difficulties and declining viewership. If Suzanne Hinn goes through the divorce, it may lead to additional declines in finances and viewership.
