Church members should open their eyes

There are congregations in Virginia where the prosperity message is still being taught, and congregants are unable to break free from the unhealthy cycle. A local woman in her 80s told me a few weeks ago that she was tired of her church raising money for Apostle Leroy Thompson, who is a multimillionaire, rather than helping the poor.

Minister K. Gray expressed concern about his cousin, who lives in public housing in the state but continues to "sow seeds" and expects miracle money. At the same time, she struggles financially year after year.

These women and others are trapped when they see they are being scammed but cannot break free. The following video breaks down how these churches operate in a manner that, hopefully, someone who listens will recognize the pattern and get the strength to walk away.

People need to understand they can walk away

The video reveals a lot, but the takeaway is the deception and a vicious cycle of giving and expecting but remaining in poverty. The pastors become rich while members are gaslighted into believing they have done something wrong to cause God not to bless them.

They keep giving and expecting because a "due season" is always around the corner, but it never comes. Don't be ruled in fear break free today. Learn to recognize the wolves so you won't be a dumb sheep.
