More details have come out after a suspect was arrested following a standoff in the Upstate, earlier this week.

As we previously reported, the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Parris Bridge Road in Chesnee, Tuesday afternoon. Deputies arrived and found the suspect, Vinson Leonard Sherbert in the yard with a knife tied to his wrist.

They reportedly ordered the suspect to drop the knife more than 2 dozen times Reports say, Sherbert threatened at least two people inside the home. He is accused of striking one of the victims multiple times before deputies arrived.

Sherbert went back into the home and barricaded himself inside. SWAT personnel deployed gas canisters to drive Sherbert outside and took him into custody. He is charged with 2nd degree criminal domestic violence.
