GPD and SRT Team arrest wanted Greenville man
On July 12th, 2024, Officers of the Greenville Police Department received multiple tips on the location of Jesse York, 28 of Greenville, who had an active warrant for his arrest through the Greenville Police Department for Domestic Violence. At approximately 11:46pm, Officers observed York through a window on the second floor of his residence, located at 205 Cypress Street. From one of the previous tip calls, Officers had been advised that York was stating he was going to shoot anyone outside.

Anna Marie Satterfield Roberts age 70 of Somerville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. She was born on January 21, 1954, to the late Henry and Josie Marie (Gibson) Satterfield in Hamilton, Ohio. Anna spent 37 years of being a dedicated nurse with the biggest heart. Anna is survived by her husband of 42 years, Walter Roberts; son, Josh (Kelly Farwick) Roberts. She will also be missed by her many cousins, nephews, and friends. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Josie Marie (Gibson) Satterfield; her uncle, Troy Gibson and her other friends and family. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way, Rt. 4 Fairfield. MURDERER SENTENCED TO 85 YEARS
(Richmond, IN)--What amounts to a life sentence behind bars has been handed down to a Richmond man who shot and killed his neighbor and also shot that man’s mother. 44-year-old Elick Allen was sentenced on Wednesday to a total of 85 years behind bars. Back in May of 2021, Allen shot and killed John Day in a trailer on New Paris Pike as the culmination of a dispute that had started the day before. Allen also shot Day’s mother, Brenda. She survived. Richmond Police Chief Kyle Weatherly issued a statement following the sentencing saying that the sentence "sends a firm message that crime will be solved and offenders will be held accountable."
