Chesterfield County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield police have arrested three suspects in connection to a deadly shooting that took place last weekend on Marina Drive.

According to the Chesterfield County Police Department, 23-year-old Christopher T. Rhames, 21-year-old Zhekour X. Ross and 29-year-old Amaris M. Hemphill have been arrested.

At around 2:09 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, police were called to the 2500 block of Marina Drive for the report of a man that had been found unconscious.

When officers arrived on scene, they found the man, identified as 22-year-old Qadriq J. Scott, with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following an investigation, detectives obtained warrants for Rhames and Ross for second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection to the shooting. Detectives also obtained warrants for Hemphill for being an accessory after the fact and an unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Rhames is being held at Riverside Regional Jail without bond. Ross and Hemphill were apprehended by police in Monterey, Tennessee on the afternoon of May 22, according to officials. They are both currently being held in a county jail in Putnam County, Tennessee.

Police say the investigation indicates that Scott knew the suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
