The Indiana Fever took a frustrating 88-87 loss to the Chicago Sky on June 23. The Fever blew a 15-point lead in the third quarter before ultimately falling to the Sky.

Even more frustrating, Fever guard Caitlin Clark's lack of shots in the fourth quarter. As Chicago closed the gap, Clark took just two shots in the final seven minutes of the game, during which her teammates scored five points.

After the game, Fever head coach Christie Sides said she was surprised Clark didn't the ball into her own hands with the game on the line. However, fans weren't buying it.

"I never want her to not be aggressive and take shots," Sides said. With the Fever were down by one point with 10 seconds left on the clock, "I really thought when she went out in transition after that missed free throw, I thought she was gonna take it to the rim or pull up right there, that would’ve been a great shot for her and our team.”

While Fever fans would've loved to see Clark take that shot, they believe the rookie is being coached to do otherwise.

One fan commented , "I don’t believe her here. She has taken away the green light. Why can’t she just take it for her team sometimes?" Another person wrote , "Liar."

One man posted , "Throwing Caitlin under the bus. JFC. The lights are too bright for Christie Sides."
