The NBA is in for a whirlwind of monster moves this week as the draft is set to take place over the next couple of days, and free agency will kick off on Friday.

One of the biggest names that could possibly hit the market is the biggest name in the sport, LeBron James. While he could return to the Lakers, as he has a $51.4 million player option on his current contract that he has to make a decision on by June 29. The expectation around the league is that James may be hoping for a new max deal, which per ESPN's Dave McMenamin , the team is "committed to re-signing James" and is willing to offer him the three-year max contract.

While most signs point to James finishing his career as a Laker, his agent Rich Paul has made it clear that James will entertain other options. Something that may be music to the ears of Chicago-based rapper and Chicago Bulls fan, Lil Durk.

The three-time Grammy Award-winning rapper took to Instagram to show that he is trying to help out his beloved Bulls in any way possible. While sharing a DM between he and James, Durk revealed that he offered to pay for not only James' salary but also his oldest son Bronny's salary if they were to come to Chicago. The younger James is hoping to hear his name called in the upcoming NBA Draft after an underwhelming season at USC.

Durk, who was born in 1992 was likely too young to remember any of Michael Jordan's six titles with the Bulls, with the most recent one happening in 1998. Whether or not the Bulls who are in a bit of a rebuilding stage are one of the teams James would consider is unclear, but at least Chicago fans know that if they don't get James it wasn't because the fan support wasn't there.

This wouldn't be the first time that Bulls fans got their hopes up for James, as back in the summer of 2010 he chose to sign with the Miami Heat over teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers, New Jersey Nets, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers and of course the Chicago Bulls.

James appeared to not respond to Lil Durk's offer, but even if he had the rapper's reported net worth of $8 million likely wouldn't be enough to get the deal done.
