Angel Reese Made Incredible WNBA History Against Las Vegas Aces

Angel Reese recorded 18 points and 11 rebounds in the Chicago Sky's loss to the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday night — marking her ninth consecutive double-double.

Reese is the youngest player in WNBA history to reach nine straight double-doubles. She also tied Candace Parker for the longest streak of consecutive double-doubles in a single season.

Reese, the No. 7 overall pick in this year's talented draft class, is off to a great start to her rookie season. The former LSU superstar is averaging 13.5 points and 11.1 rebounds per game for Chicago.

In the Sky's last win over the Indiana Fever, Reese scored 26 points and ripped down 18 rebounds — marking her second consecutive game recording 15+ points and 15+ rebounds.

“The biggest thing that I see from Angel is just her speed, and the want to get the basketball,” Aces superstar A'ja Wilson said after the game. “I feel like you don’t see that out of players all the time, that second and third effort to go get the basketball. She has that in her.”

Reese will look to continue her historic double-double streak when the Sky face off against the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday afternoon.
