    67-year-old man critically wounded during gun crossfire Monday night in Woodlawn neighborhood

    A 67-year-old man who was walking Monday night in the Woodlawn neighborhood was caught between two people exchanging gunfire in the Woodlawn neighborhood, Chicago police said.

    Shortly before 10 p.m., the victim was walking in the 400 block of East 61st Street when two people began shooting at each other before fleeing the scene, police said.

    The man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken in critical condition to UChicago Medicine.

    No one was in custody for the shooting, and detectives were investigating.
