Garrett Crochet Named to 2024 AL All-Star Team

As the Chicago White Sox continue to navigate through their tumultuous season, a bright spot has emerged from their roster, capturing the attention of baseball fans nationwide. Garrett Crochet, known for his electrifying fastball, has officially been named to the 2024 American League All-Star team. This recognition not only underscores Crochet's dominance in the league but also signals his arrival as a true ace.

Crochet began the year fighting for a spot in the White Sox starting rotation when many believed he still belonged in the bullpen, a place he spent the first few seasons of his big league career. After an impressive starting debut on Opening Day for the Sox, the left-hander has since gone on to establish himself as one of the most dominant pitchers in Major League baseball this season.

The stats speak for themselves. The 25-year-old Crochet currently leads all pitchers with 146 strikeouts over 19 starts so far in 2024, alongside an impressive 3.09 ERA. Now he will make his first appearance in baseball's Midsummer Classic as one of the best young pitching talents in the game just weeks after securing the honor of being named the AL Pitcher of the Month in June .
