Ex-Chicago Sky Star's Sly Roast of Angel Reese, Teammates Goes Viral

The WNBA world was turned on its head earlier this week when former Chicago Sky star Marina Mabrey was traded to the Connecticut Sun.

Considering that Mabrey was Chicago's highest-paid player and that she was able to space the floor with her three-point shooting ability, it came as a surprise that the Sky would decide to trade her away.

Then it came out later that same day that Mabrey had requested to be traded.

Mabrey is at the WNBA All-Star Weekend in order to participate in the three-point shooting contest.

And during last night's Orange Carpet event, Mabrey took a dig at her former teammates and organization during an interview.

Mabrey was caught saying, "[I'm excited to] be on a championship team or someone that can compete for a championship.

"That's gonna be something I'm not used to. I've never been in an environment like that, so I'm excited," she continued.

An X user posted a clip of Mabrey's comment and added the caption, "Guess that stat padding in a game that was already over was the last straw."

The post already has over 100,000 views.

It will be fascinating to see whether Mabrey and Angel Reese interact at all this weekend.
