Keenan Allen's High Praise for Rome Odunze Will Have Bears Fans Gushing

The Chicago Bears had one of the more exciting offseasons this year after bringing in top rookies from the 2024 NFL Draft. All eyes are on Caleb Williams as the quarterback. However, veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen ensures nobody is forgetting about top prospect Rome Odunze.
During a presser with the media, Allen gave Odunze some extremely high praise , according to Arye Pulli of The Sports Place. The veteran wide receiver claims that Rome Odunze "looks more polished" than he did as a rookie back in 2013.
"He's faster. He comes in and out of his breaks better than I did when I was that young — he looks more polished than I was as a receiver."
If that's true then Rome Odunze's career projection is out of this world. Keenan Allen has been a top wide receiver in the NFL throughout most of his career. So, Bears fans should be ecstatic to hear Allen's praising of the young rookie.
With Allen claiming that Odunze is "more polished" as a rookie than he was is crazy. Especially considering Keenan Allen had a magnificent rookie campaign in 2013. He finished his rookie season with 71 receptions, 1,046 yards, and Eight touchdowns. Perhaps that's a statline we can expect from Rome Odunze next season.

The Bears selected Rome Odunze with the No. 9 overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. Chicago was smart to build a roster around the young quarterback, as Williams has plenty to work with moving forward. DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze are three wide receivers any quarterback would love to play with.
But only time will tell if the Bears made the right decisions or not. They've had several exciting offseasons in a row with Ryan Poles pulling the strings as the general manager. Now Chicago is in position to drastically improve if the franchise acquired the right players.
Rome Odunze proved to be one of the best wide receivers in college football last season. He played a huge part in the Washington Huskies title run, as he was Michael Penix Jr.'s top pass option for two years in a row. Odunze put up ridiculous numbers in his final season in Washington, recording 92 receptions, 1,640 yards, and 14 total touchdowns.
As for Caleb Williams, he won the Heisman Trophy for his efforts in the 2022 season. His numbers dipped a bit in 2023 but he still played well despite the USC Trojans struggling all season long. Williams ended last year with 3,633 passing yards, 41 total touchdowns, and a 68.6 completion percentage.
