Angel Reese had a historic performance in the WNBA All-Star Game, but also had one frightening interaction with a fan.

A video shared on social media showed members of stadium security forcefully removing a fan who stood in the path of Reese as the Chicago Sky forward left the floor.

While there were no specific details about the incident, reports claimed that the woman seen being taken away tried to say something to Reese.

The incident marred what was otherwise a strong game for Reese as she became the first rookie since 1999 to record a double-double in the WNBA All-Star Game. She helped to lead Team WNBA to a victory over Team USA, the players who will represent the United States in the Paris Olympics later this month.

Some fans expressed concern after the incident, while others said the actions by security were appropriate given the intense level of attention on both Reese and fellow rookie Caitlin Clark.

"We all rightfully had speculations about how well security protects players especially in comparison to others. Particularly BG & Angel Reese," one fan wrote in a post on X . "I saw with my own two eyes yesterday a lady get just a little too excited & close to Angel & security picked her up & got her outta there"

Reese has opened up about her security concerns before, saying earlier this year that the jump from college to the WNBA has brought out new concerns about her safety.

"Because in college... I really didn't go out much. But now, I'm more out in the open, more in the city."

"So now I kind of have to have security wherever I go," Reese added. "Just trying to be mindful and careful, obviously, because my safety is first. But being able to be here... Chicago has done a great job of making sure I'm okay."
