    CHILLICOTHE— From Adena Mansion to Zane's Trace Ross County is filled with a rich history. When looking at the ABCs of Ross County the Y stands for Yoctangee Park.

    Yoctangee Park is a city park in Chillicothe with a lake, playground equipment, courts and more. the park covers over 45 acres and is next to Downtown Chillicothe. It was established in 1875.

    The park, which was once where the Scioto River flowed, has a history of being a place for entertainment and gathering. In 1902 the park was home to a zoo with deer, raccoons and alligators, local bands were also known to play at the shelter houses. Today, the park is home to several ball courts, the city pool and the Pump House Center for the Arts which brings monthly art shows to the community,
