3 teens among 4 killed in crash after Upland chase involving DUI suspect
Three of the four people who were killed Friday when a high-speed chase ended in a violent crash in Upland were teenagers, authorities said.According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, the chase began in Rancho Cucamonga when a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a driver suspected of DUI.NOTE: The video above is from a previous report on this incident.The driver wouldn't pull over and ended up smashing into the front of a white Ford Mustang in Upland. Four males were pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.The three teens killed were identified as Jesus Guillen Jr. and Joel Jeremiah Silva - two 16-year-olds from Fontana - and Michael Adrian Gomez, a 17-year-old from Pomona.The fourth person killed has not been identified.It's unclear who was driving the vehicle.A fifth victim inside the suspect's vehicle - a 13-year-old boy - survived the collision and was rushed to the hospital.Two innocent victims were transported to a hospital but appeared to be OK, authorities said. Authorities told Eyewitness News a loaded firearm was found in the suspect's vehicle, a 2018 Hyundai, which had been reported stolen in Fontana.The incident remains under investigation.

A suspect in an armed robbery in Upland was arrested, according to the Upland Police Department. On June 30 at about 1:30 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery at a business in the 1600 block of W. Foothill Boulevard. Officers learned a male suspect had stolen merchandise and pointed a firearm at employees as he fled.
Riverside police seize large quantity of illegal fireworks
Authorities have seized about 1,000 pounds of illegal fireworks in Riverside, city officials announced Tuesday. Vincent Lozano III, 23, of Riverside, was arrested June 20 at his home in the 5800 block of Clifton Avenue in Riverside’s Hillside neighborhood and later booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for possession dangerous fireworks, possession of destructive devices and weapons violations, according to the city’s announcement. Lozano was also suspected of child endangerment because the illegal fireworks were accessible to children living at the home. He was released the next day on $35,000 bail.

Man hospitalized, home destroyed after massive fire in Menifee
A man was hospitalized and a home destroyed when a massive fire broke out in Menifee early Monday morning. The blaze was first reported a little after 6 a.m. in the 24600 block of Conejo Drive, according to Riverside County Fire Department officials. Crews were dispatched to the scene, a single-story home, where they arrived to find the home engulfed in flames. The occupant of the home, an unidentified man, was able to escape but suffered some injuries that required hospitalization, firefighters said. It took crews nearly an hour to control the flames, which destroyed the home. They were able to prevent them from spreading to nearby structures. Three cars at the house were also damaged by the fire, crews noted. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
California supplier pleads guilty to trafficking meth
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Federal authorities have another major drug supplier behind bars as part of an extensive, long-running operation. Alejandro Gallegos, also known as “Alex,” “Rooster,” “G” and “Primo,” 41, of Hacienda Heights, California, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine and 500 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine. Gallegos admitted to a major supplier role in a drug trafficking organization (DTO) that operated in the Charleston area.

The Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help Monday evening in locating a missing 27-year-old man who was last seen in West Covina. Raymond Robledo was last seen on June 24 at 2 p.m. near the intersection of Amar Road and Azusa Avenue, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
