Wall's Cooper Sampson took his lumps before turning into an elite junior high roper
Des Moines, Iowa — When Wall’s Cooper Sampson was eight-years old he told his family that he wanted to move up in age group to compete against kids as old as 14-years old. With no rules restricting the move up to junior high his mom, Lainee Shearer, voiced some concerns.
San Angelo ISD Welcomes New Executive Director of Communications
SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Independent School District welcomed Shannon Schwartz as the new Executive Director of Communications on Wednesday. SAISD made the announcement on its website and said that Schwartz will join the SAISD Communications team on July 22, 2024.
San Angelo ISD Announces New Principals and Leadership for the 2024-2025 School Year
San Angelo ISD is pleased to announce the following new principals and district leadership in advance of the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. LaTonia Sutton is the new Principal of Lone Star Middle School, replacing Dr. Amy Lemaster. Mrs. Sutton most recently served as SAISD Director of Human Resources. She has been in Education for 16 years, all with SAISD. She has served as a teacher, ELAR Department Leader, and Middle School Assistant Principal at Lincoln and Lone Star Middle School. Mrs. Sutton holds a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from Angelo State University and a Master of Education in Educational Administration also from Angelo State University.
Wall Hawks Crack Top 10 in Initial Pre-Season Rankings
DALLAS, TX — The initial pre-season rankings from Dave Campbell’s Texas High School Football dropped for the 3A division this week, and the Concho Valley has a familiar face in the top 10. SAN ANGELO, TX — University Theatre at Angelo State University will present the epic tale "The Old Man and The Old Moon" for its summer dinner theatre production, beginning Thursday, June 27, in the ASU Modular Theatre inside the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building at 2602 Dena Drive.
