    Bedminster, NJ (Somerset County) - The 15th Annual Shaun O'Hara Foundation Golf Outing was a huge success for Cystic Fibrosis as celebrities from all professional sports attended to help support the cause on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the Trump National Golf Course.

    With a super rainy month of May in the state of New Jersey, you could have not asked for a better day with 85 degree tempratures, blue skies with a slight breeze to provide a quick break from the heat. Perfect conditions on the prestine golf course at Trump National, which is always kept at perfect PGA levels on both the new an old courses.

    Shaun O'Hara took over the duties from Micheal Strahan years ago to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis, a inherited life-threatening disorder rgar damages the lungs and digestive system. "Cystic Fibrosis is the only disease that is not supported by the government and is relient on fundraising efforts" said O'Hara, a former New York Giant Super Bowl Champion, "we want to thank everyone invloved from our amazing volunteers and participants."

    Some families who are battling cystic fibrosis were in attendance at the event. This included the Walden family with Mark and Miles Walden, Tommy and Jackie Forte with Camden and Rory. Also, Ethan Vanderbal and his mom Sara, who have been to all 15 events. "I look forward to coming every year" said E.Vanderbal, "I would not miss it".

    "Kids with Cystic Fibrosis cannot be together indoors, there is a limit to how close they can be" said O'Hara "Having a golf event outside allows us to include multiple families".

    Some participants included former Green Bay Packer, Sterling Sharpe, who has been to 13 of the 15 events and is always the favorite to win the fun competitions on the golf course. New York Knicks legends John Starks and Charles Oakley were new faces at the 2024 event.

    Following 18 holes of golf during the dinner hours, the silent auction raises money for the foudation with a vast array of unique sports, movie and music memorabilia. The display of items did not miss a beat as there was definitely something for everyone.

    The big winner of the day of course was Cysitic Fibrosis and the Shaun O'Hara Foundation, whose goal is to increase knowledge and education.
