New Cincinnati-area Goodwill opening this week, to offer freebies

A new Goodwill in Deerfield Township is hosting a grand opening Thursday.

The store, located at 3990 Montgomery Road, marks Goodwill's 20th Southwest Ohio location. Ohio Valley Goodwill plans to have at least 30 locations open across the region by 2030, according to a press release.

The opening celebration kicks off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:45 a.m. before the store opens at 10 a.m.

Visitors can enjoy the following specials Thursday:

• Golden ticket: The very first person in line gets a head start on shopping before the store opens at 10 a.m.
• Hidden treasures: 25 free items are hidden throughout the store.
• Coupons for up to 35% off a future purchase (valid Aug. 30 through Sept. 12).

Operating hours for the Deerfield Township Goodwill have yet to be posted.
