So, the Cincinnati Reds just got no-hit . I suppose that means they will promote a few more people in the front office. What a joke of a franchise this is. They squandered last decade’s small-market window of opportunity, and it appears they are squandering our current window.
They hire a no-name manager on the cheap, keep him and his staff for years regardless of massive underachievement, and expect all of us to applaud along the way. If they can’t or won’t spend the money to bring us a true playoff contender, then sell the team! There has to be someone who would buy the Reds that is serious about winning.

Meanwhile, other smaller-market teams (Kansas City, Tampa Bay, etc.) are making us look like rank amateurs as they maximize their windows. And some (like Minnesota, St. Louis, Atlanta) manage to be perennial winners despite their own injuries and setbacks. I am sure the Reds will blame it all on injuries and bad luck, and extend coaching and front office contracts for another five years. But look around! Every MLB team has had major injuries, and many of them win regardless.
It’s time to clear house, top to bottom. And if the newly promoted continue the "Where else are they going to go?" status quo, we all need to boycott the Reds until they get the message.
