Missing the 2023 season, especially Meet of Champions, was devastating for Burlington City senior Malachi James. James, who had won M of Cs titles in both the 100 and 200 dash in 2022, made the difficult decision to end his 2023 season following a hamstring injury that he suffered a outdoor meet in April. It forced James to experience Meet of Champions from a unwanted vantage point - his couch. The 100 and 200 dash titles he once held so proudly were being contested by others, a bitter reminder of his forced absence from the competition.

Sianni Wynn is only a sophomore and you already need two hands to count her NJSIAA Meet of Champions gold medals. The Pennsauken phenom won her sixth title in this year’s 100 dash championship and then picked up No. 7 later in the evening on her home track in the 200. She won last year’s 400 dash title to go with a pair of indoor championships in the 55 and 200.

Among those invited to participate in the upcoming Under Armour Next Future 50 camp is New Jersey defensive back Jordan Thomas. Thomas is one of the biggest names set to participate in the camp.
