St. Cloud Man Charged With Arson Following Apartment Fire
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- A St. Cloud man is facing arson charges after a fire at an apartment complex Tuesday afternoon. Around 3:15 p.m., the St. Cloud Fire Department responded to a report of a residential building on fire in the 500 block of 8th Avenue South. When crews arrived, they found smoke coming out the windows of a unit on the third floor and quickly put out the fire.
8 Charged In Central MN Human Trafficking Case
UNDATED (WJON News) -- Eight people have been arrested and charged for human trafficking in the St. Cloud Area. The Central Minnesota Human Trafficking Task Force says seven people were arrested for attempting to purchase sex, a gross misdemeanor, and one person was arrested for felony-level electronic solicitation of a child.
Foul Play Ruled Out After Body Found Monday In South St. Cloud
(KNSI) – Officials with the St. Cloud Police Department say the suspicious death of a 26-year-old St. Cloud man was a false alarm. The body of Mohamed Mustaf Mohamud was discovered in a natural area located near Tech High School off 33rd Street South. St. Cloud Fire Department was called out for a small grass fire Monday morning and noticed Mohamud while putting out the flames.
St. Cloud Man Arrested After Chase in Stearns County
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- A St. Cloud man has been arrested after allegedly leading police on a chase through Stearns County. The Sheriff's Office says Monday they arrested 37-year-old Jamie Tottingham. He is expected to face charges of felony Fleeing Police in a Motor Vehicle and suspicion of Driving While Under the Influence.

Details of incident south of Rockville revealed
(Rockville MN-) The Stearns County Sheriff's Department has revealed details of an incident south of Rockville Monday. On July 1st they received a complaint of an Harassment Restraining Order Violation at a residence on County Road 8 near Grand Lake. The complainant also reported hearing the suspect fire multiple rounds from a gun in an unknown direction. When Stearns County Deputies arrived, they set up a perimeter and the Stearns-Benton SWAT team was called in to help search and clear the residence and outbuildings. The suspect was not located at the scene. A search warrant recovered several firearms at the residence.

Man injured after vehicle rear ends dump truck
A man was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Princeton on Monday, July 1. While exiting Highway 169 on the northbound ramp toward Highway 95, a dump truck was rear-ended. Big Lake Police Department was on hand Tues., June 25, and the first order of buisness was the hiring of Officer Julie Hawkins. For Hawkins, it was a family affair. In addition to the many officers who were present, Hawkins’ family was present – Grandma Barb, Grandpa Bob, Mother Becky and father John, and her two brothers Corey and Justin. Mayor Paul Knier administered the Oath of Office and Hawkins’ mother, Becky Nielsen, had the honor of pinning on her badge.
