University of Derby Students Visit USU Eastern
Price, Utah – Students visiting from the University of Derby experienced the wildlife of USU Eastern and the local area with Professor Dr. Sunshine Brosi. As part of a joint effort with the University of Colorado, students flew into Denver and visited Yellowstone, Glacier National Park, Jackson Hole, and the Grand Tetons before making their way to Price on Monday, July 15th.

TOOELE, Utah — Multiple Tooele power outages have residents complaining. However, Rocky Mountain Power says there’s a good reason behind them. The power outages have been on purpose according to Jona Whitesides of Rocky Mountain Power. It’s part of an effort to harden the power lines by wrapping the poles with flame resistant fabric, replacing wooden poles with steel towers and powering down lines when weather or wildfire threats are detected.

Friends of the Helper Area Selling Raffle Tickets for Helper Express Playground
Friends of the Helper Area, a 501(C)3 nonprofit founded in 2021, is raising funds for a community project to create The Helper Express Inclusive Playground. At the heart of the Helper Express Playground is a large train structure that will be the main attraction and accessible to all kids including kids who use wheelchairs. Friends of the Helper Area is raising funds to match a grant by the Larry H. and Gail Miller Family Foundation to buy playground structures and ground cover by selling raffle tickets.
