Truck-tractor driver injured in crash on I-95 in Clinton

CLINTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A truck-tractor crash on Interstate 95 Tuesday morning left one person with serious injuries, according to Connecticut State Police officials.

Police said the crash happened just after 7 a.m. at the intersection of I-95 north’s Exit 63 off-ramp and North High Street.

According to the accident report, a truck-tractor pulling an Intermodal chassis container was traveling in the right lane going northbound when it turned right and on to the off-camp.

During the turn, it tipped to the left side and came to an uncontrollable final rest in the middle of the intersection.

Police said the driver was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for suspected serious injuries.
