Hunterdon's Fudge Shoppe on Route 202 needs more space to make candy
RARITAN TOWNSHIP - One of Hunterdon County's most popular businesses wants to convert a building into its own version of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.The Fudge Shoppe, a Central Jersey institution for more than six decades, is scheduled to appear before the township Zoning Board of Adjustment on July 18 with a proposal to convert the first floor of a building at the corner off Millbrook Road and Burry Lane into a candy manufacturing facility. The property is located at the back of the store's location on southbound Route 202 by Case Boulevard.

The National Weather Service issued an updated heat advisory at 3:29 a.m. on Monday valid from 10 a.m. until Tuesday 8 p.m. for Sussex, Warren, Morris and Hunterdon counties. "Heat index values up to 104 degrees expected," explains the weather service.
