Hunterdon's Fudge Shoppe on Route 202 needs more space to make candy
RARITAN TOWNSHIP - One of Hunterdon County's most popular businesses wants to convert a building into its own version of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.The Fudge Shoppe, a Central Jersey institution for more than six decades, is scheduled to appear before the township Zoning Board of Adjustment on July 18 with a proposal to convert the first floor of a building at the corner off Millbrook Road and Burry Lane into a candy manufacturing facility. The property is located at the back of the store's location on southbound Route 202 by Case Boulevard.
Easton Housing Authority tenant refuses to pay rent until bedbugs stop coming back
Bedbugs won’t leave Denise Thomas alone. The 72-year-old lives on the third floor of the Bushkill House, a public housing high-rise in Easton. FLEMINGTON - Hunterdon County celebrated the renovation of the Historic County Courthouse on Main Street as one of the county's prime tourist attractions. The Hunterdon County Board of Commissioners hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony July 2 on the courthouse steps to mark the completion of the project also intended to be part of the revitalization of the county seat's Main Street.
