Mizzou football recruiting: Tigers land pair of 4-star wide receivers in 2025 class

The July 4 fireworks started early for Mizzou football, whose 2025 recruiting class is up to 14 players after a pair of four-star commitments the past two days.

Wide receiver Jayvan Boggs, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound prospect out of Cocoa, Florida, headlined the recruiting news when he announced his commitment on Thursday.

Boggs, who caught 93 passes for 1,493 yards with 23 touchdowns in his junior year campaign at Cocoa High School, was previously committed to Ohio State before decommitting in March.

Leading up to his Mizzou commitment, Boggs received reported offers from Georgia, UCF, Florida, Notre Dame, Miami and several other top programs, but he went with head coach Eli Drinkwitz and the Tigers.

“His hands are like glue, so just having that type of target is big time,” five-star Missouri QB commit Matt Zollers told 247Sports about Boggs. He’s also a very cool dude. Over this past month or so, we’ve really been talking a lot and I’d say me and him are pretty good friends now.”

Boggs isn’t the only weapon that Zollers will be throwing to with the Tigers. Drinkwitz’s squad penned another wideout recruit less than 24 hours later: Donovan Olugbode.

The four-star prospect from IMG Academy is ranked 23rd on On3’s receivers list and received offers from Florida, Washington, USC and others before announcing his destination with 247Sports .

Olugbode made 31 receptions for 561 yards with five touchdowns in his junior season.

Boggs and Olugbode now join Shaun Terry (Ironton, Ohio) as wide receivers in MU’s 2025 class.
