Wednesday's meeting of the fire district's Building Committee was filled with signs of progress. ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Albany Police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital Saturday night. According to a release, at approximately 9:15 p.m. Saturday, staff from Albany Medical Center Hospital notified police that a 34-year-old man had entered the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his foot. Upon arrival at the hospital, officers said they spoke with the victim, who told them that he was shot while outside in the backyard of a residence in the area of Whitehall Road and Kate Street.
