Run well, dominate the turnover margin, and own the time of possession. The Paladins won’t beat themselves, and with the Ole Miss style of offense, there’s a chance they have the ball for well over 35 minutes if they can be consistent on third downs. But …

Why Ole Miss Will Win

Yes, this is still a terrific Furman team with lots of good parts still around, but it needs a little bit after losing a ton of talent from last year’s ten-win squad.

The backfield isn’t exactly new, but the top rushers are gone, and a bunch of the good pass rushers have to be replaced. For all all the good things Furman will do right this year, it’s not a dangerous passing team - that’s the problem for Ole Miss. Decent, sharp passers gave the Rebels problems, and that shouldn’t be an issue this week.
