Paul Finebaum announced his pick for the "Game of the Year" in the SEC on the latest edition of The Paul Finebaum Show.

The SEC is expanding with the addition of the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners. The Red River Rivalry will be an SEC conference game in the fall.

However, that matchup was not the game Finebaum picked as his SEC game of the year. Finebaum picked the Texas A&M Aggies and Texas game. He predicted the atmosphere would be comparable to anything fans would see in 2024.

"...The game of the year is at Kyle Field on Thanksgiving Weekend," Finebaum said. "That atmosphere will rival anything that we will see the rest of the season."

The in-state rivalry between the Aggies and Longhorns resumes for the first time since 2011. The rivalry dates back to 1894 and was played annually until 2011. The all-time series belongs to Texas, who led Texas A&M 76-37.

Both programs are going through changes in 2024. Texas is transitioning to a new conference, while Texas A&M has a new head coach. Former Texas A&M assistant Mike Elko returned to College Station after two seasons coaching the Duke Blue Devils.

Texas and Texas A&M meet Nov. 30 at Kyle Field. No kickoff time has been announced just yet.
