Richmond: Stege Elementary to Temporarily Close for Rebuild
The West Contra Costa Unified School District announced last week that Stege Elementary School Campus will temporarily close for a rebuild of the campus. The announcement came from Superintendent Kenneth C Hurst Sr via a letter announcing the closure to start the 2024-25 school year. He said WCCUSD has chosen the DeJean Middle School campus as the temporary location to accommodate two separate school communities with minimal impact on student learning and daily operations.

California Institute of the Arts recently announced the appointment of Rachel Berger as its next vice provost. A designer, educator, and academic leader, Berger is currently a tenured associate professor of graphic design at California College of the Arts (CCA) in San Francisco, where she also serves as president of the Faculty Senate.
