Colorado state Rep. Mary Bradfield of Colorado Springs is on track to win the Republican primary election in House District 21, according to early results from the secretary of state’s office.

Bradfield led her race with 48% of the vote as of Tuesday at 10:00 p.m., ahead of challenger Bill Garlington, a Fountain businessman, at 32%. Jan Koester, a former Fountain Valley educator, was in third place with 19%.

The winner of Tuesday’s primary will face Democrat Liz Rosenbaum in November.

House District 21 includes southern parts of El Paso County including Fort Carson, Fountain and unincorporated areas west of Interstate 25. Bradfield is seeking a third term in the state House after winning reelection with about 58% of the vote in 2022.

]In Newsline’s State House Republicans primary Q&A , Bradfield said her top three priorities for the 2025 legislative session are to complete work on programs for the development of child care facilities as implemented in House Bill 24-1237 , actively work against bills that are not good for the people of her district, and ensure that the tax credit for retired military is continued forever.
