(COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers were dispatched to the area of West Colorado Avenue and South 19th Street on Saturday, June 29, around 3:30 p.m., where they found a woman who had thrown a rock through a window and was following a victim while holding a rock.

CSPD reports that the woman was wielding a large rock and after throwing a rock through the window of a building, unlawfully followed the victim into the building while holding a rock. Officers arrived, disarmed the woman, and took her into custody.

During the arrest, the woman allegedly injured an officer by kicking him. He was treated at the hospital for minor injuries and released. According to CSPD, the suspect was also taken to the hospital for possibly swallowing narcotics and glass.

Once the woman is released from the hospital, she will be transported to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center and charged with burglary and assault, CSPD said.
