(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Returning for a second year to the Colorado Springs area is Cat Fest where organizers say guests will be able to meet a variety of celebrity cats, connect with local rescue agencies, and enjoy cat-themed food at a Cat Video Cafe.

The event will be at the Norris Penrose Event Center at 1045 Lower Gold Camp Road on Saturday, July 20. The event will feature celebrity cats, dozens of adoptable cats, The International Cat Association (TICA) Cat Show, and breed meet-and-greets to learn more about cat breeds.

Organizers said eight local and regional rescue agencies will have a booth to showcase adoptable cats along with TICA hosting a cat show with more cats that can be visited in their benching area. TICA’s meet and greets will feature Sphynx cats, Toygers, Main Coons, Norwegian Forest Cats and Abyssinians.

The festival will feature Instagram and social media cat stars hosting meet and greets all day, including Liebchen Travels, Madfluffs, Alpha Cat, Mountain Mowzer, Maddie Bear the Ragdoll Kitty Cat and her crew, and That Cat Pluto. Hello Kitty will be in attendance celebrating her 50th anniversary.

Organizers said, there will also be a section about the magical nature of cats with a Mystical Egyptian Cat Temple, where attendees can get a tarot reading, visit with a pet psychic, or pay homage to cats who have passed away by adding their names or photos to a golden Memory Wall.

According to organizers almost all activities and entertainment are included with admission tickets. Admission is $20, family four packs are $72 until July 18 and Military and their families can get tickets for $15. Kids aged five or younger get in free of charge.

While leashed or contained cats can attend with a signed waiver, organizers are pretty sure many won’t enjoy it so they suggest you leave your cats at home.
