QUESTION: Should local governments prioritize affordable housing?

America is in a housing crunch.

This is also the case in Mid-Missouri, where the rising cost of living is helping to drive a greater need for affordable housing. However, there isn't enough to go around.

The Columbia Housing Authority broke ground on a new complex Thursday, the same day city officials said affordable housing is a priority for the coming fiscal year budget.
