    York County businesses offer helping hand to vendors affected by recent warehouse fires

    In response to the recent devastating fire at Tollbooth Antiques in Columbia, which left more than 50 vendors with damaged and lost products and displaced inventory, several local businesses are offering a helping hand to the vendors.

    Storage Sense in Columbia is offering three months of free storage to vendors with damaged or displaced inventory.

    Managed by Storage Asset Management (SAM), a full-service self-storage property management company based in York, Storage Sense is located at 320 N 2nd Street in Columbia, Pennsylvania.

    "Our compassion is with vendors dealing with the aftermath. Allow our neighboring self-storage facility to safeguard your inventory during repairs," said Alyssa Quill, CEO of SAM.

    To inquire about free storage space, vendors can call Storage Sense at (717) 684-0373. The offer applies to vendors renting new units and is subject to availability.

    New York Wire Works also lends a hand

    The New York Wire Works building offering artist studios, office suites, retail spaces and more in York, also expressed its condolences to those displaced following the recent warehouse fires.

    In a Facebook post, the company offered to support those affected in an attempt to help small business owners get back on their feet.

    "We offer our heartfelt condolences to everyone who was displaced in the recent series of warehouse fires in York County and would like to offer our support to help those affected get back on their feet again. We have numerous large-scale spaces, from 5,000 square feet to 36,000 square feet, and for any business that has lost their space in the recent fires, we would like to offer three free months rent to qualified applicants, here at New York Wire Works," the Facebook post read.
