Los Angeles man, 27, swept away in Kern River, body recovered hours later
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Coroner's Office identified a 27-year-old man from Los Angeles who was swept away and died in the Kern River on July 7. At around 10 a.m., Miguel Mateo Tzaj Cuc, 27, of Los Angeles, a witness said they saw Miguel enter the Kern River near Hart Park and was swept away heading downstream.
