CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — A man arrested Wednesday at the Shady Moss Townhouses in Conway is accused of committing a sex crime with a minor, authorities said.

Anthony Brown was arrested after agents with the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force and Horry County police went to the home at about 3 p.m., a spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Service said.

Brown was charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor, the spokesman said.

A police report obtained by News13 shows Brown, who was 19 at the time of the alleged incident, allegedly told the victim he was 16.

Brown remains in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center without bond where he was booked late Wednesday afternoon.
