Washington County Sheriff’s Office finds emu in Vincent
VINCENT — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office caught an escaped emu Wednesday in the Vincent area. “(The) Washington County Sheriff’s Office has located an Emu in the 600 (block of ) McGill Road, Vincent,” said a media release asking anyone who knew the owner of the bird to contact the office.

Ohio changes grant criteria causing county to send surveys to New Marshfield residents
New Marshfield residents should expect a survey in the mail as Athens County and DLZ, an engineering firm, try to determine whether that part of the county meets new state funding guidelines for a proposed sanitation sewer project. Renovations: Parkersburg Area Community Foundation awards grants to Children’s Home Society
PARKERSBURG — The Children’s Home Society of West Virginia has received three grants through the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation for a renovation project.
