The Washington County Sheriff's Office is investigating a July 4 shooting incident that took place in Copan. Sheriff Scott Owen told us Friday the investigation is still preliminary at this time and is ongoing. He says as soon as the facts in the case are established, an update will be provided.

Washington Co. Commissioners to Meet on Monday
The Washington County Commissioners have a fairly standard meeting scheduled for Monday morning. According to an agenda, the commissioners are expected to discuss several reports, agreements and contracts for the new fiscal year, including a memorandum of understanding for the Oklahoma Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that includes the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

The Doenges Ford Indians are still searching for their first win in the Glen Winget tournament as day two came to a close Friday evening. Bartlesville was once again the night cap and they took on another Arkansas foe, this time in the Greenwood Yard Goats 11-3 in six innings.
Bartlesville Police Use Donation for New Equipment
A generous donation allows Bartlesville Police to purchase new equipment. Thanks to a $23,000 donation from Phillips 66, B-P-D purchased four new Trek Police Service Bicycles. The bikes will be used by the department's new Park Unit in order to patrol city parks and public recreation areas. The Bartlesville Police Department hopes to hold special events with the bike unit, including safety gear giveaways and community bike rides.

St. Isidore asks state Supreme Court to stay an order to cancel its contract
